From your initial consultation through to completion, it takes 4-6 weeks to design, make and fit a custom suit.
Your consultation is free and you are under no obligation to purchase a suit. Ready-to-wear suits are $599 and custom suits start at $899.

It will take 2 – 3 visits. First, designing and getting measured up. Second, try on your new suit and we work on any adjustments. Third, try on your suit again after any additional adjustments, if required.

Following a detailed fitting process at our Ringwood Showroom, Briggins Clothiers makes your one-of-a-kind suit in partnership with a specialist workshop in Shanghai. Up to 95% of our garments and accessories are handmade in the same workshop to ensure quality and consistency.
Our custom suits and shirts are all finished in our master tailoring room, here in Ringwood. This process ensures high-quality garments, a perfect fit and quick turnaround, whilst representing excellent value for our clients.
Custom, or made-to-measure, suits and shirts are made to your unique measurements and design. This means that you can select the fabric, style, and even finer details such as buttons and stitching – all of our suits are one of a kind.
Briggins suits are made from 100% Australian or Italian wool and quality blend fabrics. Using only the finest quality fabrics available, natural wool will be warm in winter, but breathable and cool in summer. Wool is also easy to care for and incredibly soft and luxurious.
In 2019, we became industry leaders by offering a perfectly fitted suit, designed just for you. Our blend of modern measuring techniques and traditional expert tailoring from our in-house tailors provides exceptional quality, fit, and consistency every time. During a brief visit to our Ringwood Showroom, our in-house experts will take precise measurements in a matter of minutes.

Congratulations on buying a one-of-a-kind Briggins suit. Here are some tips for keeping your garment in great condition so that it lasts wear-after-wear. We recommend that you have your suit professionally cleaned once a year, professionally pressed once a month, and steamed (in your bathroom) once a week. To avoid unnecessary damage and wear, avoid driving in your suit jacket, and do not keep keys, phones or wallets in your suit pant pockets.
We know that sometimes accidents happen, so you may wish to have repairs made to your custom suit from time to time. Our in-house tailors are available to do repairs by consultation. Please call 1300 452 251 or email [email protected] for further information and assistance with repairs.

Yep! Briggins are for every body, no matter your size. Please note that there may be an oversize surcharge depending on the size.
A custom two-piece suit starts at $899, but for sizes above 52, expect to pay closer to $1300. This is because garments above a certain size use significantly more yardage as they need to be cut using a different layout, which necessitates a surcharge.
The surcharge applies to sizes 52 and above.
We offer clients custom-made suits and shirts, so there is no specific limit on the clothing size. Contact us today for more information about our measurement process.
When it comes to suits, fit and proportion are the most important factors. Single-breasted styles with a broader notch lapel will keep your jacket in proportion with wider shoulders. Choose darker colours such as black, charcoal or navy to create a timeless suit.
For men with large muscular builds, double-breasted suits are a great choice – think Henry Cavill! Emphasise the broad shoulders and bring in the waist.
A height above 6 feet 2 inches comes under the tall clothing category.
